Ideografia 2018. II National Festival of Graphic Design in Poznań Ideografia 2019. I International Festival of Graphic Design in Poznań. Poland – Japan Poznań graphic confrontations fall into two categories — cultural poster and ideography. A poster is defined as a polygraphic advertising and promotional form with a client and recipient. However, ideography is the author’s own form of artistic expression in self edition, using the language of the poster art. This is important, because the semantic shortcut between the content of word and image — expressed in any imaging technique as a poster, citylight, billboard, mural, artistic object, performance, graphic animation, film, etc. — becomes multimedial and an autonomous way of formulating and articulating the content of the message, which enables intercultural dialogue in various areas of art.
