Description

Window Architecture After Covid-19 A five-story complex building in Kyoto Japan. It is located 5 minutes walk from the station. Due to economic requirements, it was required to have 4 to 5 floors, but the site is 4m x 16m in strip shape and quite small. In addition, it is expected that the usage of the floor will change from restaurants and guest houses to rental housing or rental buildings depending on the situation surrounding this town. (It is predicted before Covid-19.) Therefore, by using a wall-type concrete structure, providing a staircase and an elevator core in the center, and providing an out-of-plane fluctuation on the outer peripheral wall on each floor, it is evenly spaced at 2m x 2m, and it fluctuates in all directions. We considered a structure consisting of the opening and 5 slabs. The programs on each floor are open, and the environment can be incorporated in three dimensions by the internal and external partitioning methods. A fluctuating wall supports such an open program as a minimum structure, provides various perspectives from the inside to the outside, and at the same time represents the liquidity of concrete. Soft flexibility is a building with full of windows, calls for free use, and encourages new uses even in small spaces.
