本專案靈感源自 1960 年代激進設計運動，試圖模糊藝術與設計之間的界限，並鼓勵大膽探究顏色、紋理及形式。這五種可能組合讓人聯想起西洋棋，因此獲得 Scacco Matto 這名字，其義大利文意為「將軍」。
這款燈由三個獨特部件組成並以磁鐵有效固定，所產生的裝飾品可鼓勵使用者與其互動，改變其外觀與功能，進而提供各種燈具配置及音效 (藍牙揚聲器版本)，且可輕鬆融入不同空間與氛圍。 
所有三個部件均由內部電池供電，並配備無線充電模組感應器/接收器，可同時充電而無需使用額外無線充電底座。
第三個部件位於揚聲器與燈罩之間，可作為電池庫並延長充電時所需時間。

Taking inspiration from the 1960s radical design movement, the project attempts to blur the boundaries between art and design and encourages audacious investigations of color, texture, and form. The five potential combinations are reminiscent of a chess game, thus earning the name Scacco Matto, which translates to checkmate in Italian. The Lamp is composed of three distinct components that are held together efficiently by magnets to generate decor pieces that encourage users to interact with them, changing their appearance and functionality to offer a variety of lamps configurations and sounds effect (the Bluetooth speaker version) that can be easily adapted to different spaces and moods. All three pieces are powered by an internal battery and are equipped with a Wireless Charging Module Inductive/Receiver, allowing them to be recharged simultaneously without the use of an additional wireless recharger base.

The third component, which sits between the speaker and lampshade, functions as a battery bank to extend the time needed for charging.
